When to use: Copy by Activation? Relearn Requirement?

Use this method when the original OEM TPMS sensor is still intact and can be activated/scanned by the TPMS tool. The TPMS90 tool wakes up the original sensor, reads its existing ID directly via an RF signal, then clones that ID into the new TS01 programmable universal TPMS sensor.

Typical scenarios: Single-sensor replacement, tire change, or wheel swap, when the old sensor is still mounted on the wheel and responsive.

Relearn requirement:
✅ NO relearn is needed normally.
Because the new TS01 sensor carries exactly the same ID that the TPMS ECU already stores and recognizes. Once the TS01 sensor is installed back in the same wheel position, the vehicle TPMS system will receive the signal directly without extra learning.

When to use: Copy by Manual Input? Relearn Requirement?

Choose this method if the original sensor is damaged, dead, lost, or cannot be activated by RF, but you already have the original 8-digit/10-digit TPMS ID recorded on paperwork, service records, tire stickers, or in the customer’s history data. You manually type the known original ID into the TPMS90 tool, then write this ID to the blank TS01 universal sensor.

Relearn requirement:
✅ NO relearn is needed normally.
It is also an ID cloning method. The programmed ID matches the ID registered inside the TPMS ECU. Install it in the original wheel position, and the system recognizes it immediately.

When to use: Copy by OBD? Relearn Requirement?

This method requires an OBD-II connection between the TPMS90 tool and the vehicle. The TPMS90 tool reads the complete list of sensor IDs already stored in the TPMS ECU directly from the vehicle control unit, then copies these ECU-stored IDs to new TS01 sensors.

Best scenarios: original sensors cannot be RF-activated, you want to pull the authoritative ID list from the ECU instead of scanning sensors one by one, the vehicle supports TPMS OBD access.

Relearn requirement:
✅ NO relearn is needed normally.
You are copying the IDs that the ECU already saved. After programming and fitting to matching wheel positions, the TPMS system identifies the sensors directly.

When to use: Auto Create 1-16? Relearn Requirement?

When to use:
Use this function when you cannot retrieve the original sensor IDs at all (no working old sensors, no ID records, ECU cannot be read via OBD). The TPMS90 tool generates brand-new, unique, random TPMS IDs and programs up to 16 TS01 universal sensors in a single batch.

Common use cases: Full set of 4+ spare sensors replacement, TPMS retrofit, fleet bulk programming, and cloning data when it is unavailable.

Relearn requirement:
⚠️ Relearn is MANDATORY.
These are brand-new IDs which do not exist in the vehicle TPMS ECU. After installation, you must complete a stationary relearn, an auto drive relearn, or an OBD relearn to write these new IDs into the TPMS control module; otherwise, the TPMS warning light stays on, and the vehicle cannot receive pressure data.
